Do Good

It’s simple” he says. “Do good” he says.

Tony’s Bologna marketing strategy is simple.  It’s based off of providing unique, original content and writing articles that have useful advice.  100% of what I post is either because I personally think it’s funny or I think it’s interesting. I’m willing to bet a few of you might agree.

I’ve decided to do more.

One of my biggest motivations in life is helping people.  It’s only when I’ve gone out of my way to help someone, I have found the act to truly make me happy. That being said,  I’m a real big fan of random acts of kindness and  positively influencing life.

When you have the opportunity to positively influence life, seize it.  I have been fortunate enough to build an engaging (and dare I say awesome) community, thus I have decided to use this post to recommend worthwhile causes. I will be updating this page sporadically  with causes I enjoy.  Please check in infrequently to learn about worthwhile causes and ways you can get involved. Do good, you won’t regret it.

Thanks,

ARTW

– P.S. Comment and tell me causes I should know about!

  1. Good Call, Tony, I learned from Bullwinkle:
“…I’ll tell you the loveliest game in the world –
    Do something for somebody, quick!”

    1. Thanks! I’ve just found that I’m only mentally satisfied when I help other people out. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any recommendations for causes I’d check them out! Have a great day.

  2. Volunteering really opens up the heart and mind (and eyes)! I can confidently say that my volunteering experience helping people with disabilities changed my life (and my outlook on life)!

Here’s a quote from Nick Vujicic that I cannot agree with more: “Sometimes the best way to heal your own body, mind, heart, and spirit is to serve as a source of comfort and support to someone around you. Filling the bucket of someone else may replenish your own.”

Here’s a blog post I wrote for those who want to do good but don’t know where to start: http://blog.tun.com/2015/08/05/5-myths-vs-truths-about-volunteering/

And just as a bonus, http://blog.tun.com/2015/05/30/how-to-be-happy-101/

  3. I can think of no better advice. There is no real justification for not doing good or doing, well, bad! Such simplicity, but that does not mean it is simple to do!

      1. I know it’s not technically a single cause, but the gofundme website has so many great causes to donate to. Anyone who visits the website can definitely find something to feel good about giving away a few bucks. It feels great, even if you don’t know the person.

  4. I agree, it’s nice to be nice, and help others less fortunate when you can. As for any particular organisations, and good causes, make your choice from many thousands.

  5. Reblogged this on WrittenCasey and commented:
It sounds stupid, but repetition wears down mental roadblocks similar to how water smooths jagged stones. The more you intend to do; the more you may find yourself doing (or being deluded.)

Focused persistence is the ultimate changing force.

  6. Yep, I love helping others as often as needed. I don’t know about you Tony, but, a cause I feel for is the #MeToo movement as shit happens in the military. Happen to me, man, when I was freshly seventeen. Ashamed for many years but I force nothing on anyone. Fellow Marine caught be by surprise as I slept. Too bad. Ruined my career for sure. This is the reason I began to write. If you receive the chance check out my book I AM: The Tiny Mustard Seed on Amazon. Not trying to advertise here and apologies if it looks that way. Render an address and I’ll send you a free copy. Thanks Tony. Be good bro.

      1. I just left 3 comments before this one, on different posts/ pages of yours. But now, as I got here, I realize why I enjoy your content. Because you have a special vibe. And I am saying this as a seeker and self-development advocate.

I too have a short article on my website about the act of giving. And more alike.

(Note to self: God, I need to start writing more, again, on my website, as I sort of branched my writing to other platforms and I neglected my first love).

Bottom line, I am grateful to have crossed paths with your writing. I’m sure you are a very cool human being.

        Keep inspiring!

        A.
