Life can hit you like a ton of bricks.
One day you’re aimlessly scrolling, feeling comfortably uncomfortable, then BAM.
You get smacked with a piece of knowledge that hits your reality harder than a declined credit card.
And recently, I was fortunate enough to experience one of these moments.
Very few times do I find advice on the internet that moves me.
It’s not that I’m incapable of being moved… like Snorlax without the pokéflute.

But drowning in the sea of cold-showers, millionaire morning routine, and general get-your-shit-together discipline… it’s hard to see a life raft.
Well, a friend shared with me a good piece of advice that contrasted so sharply that it stood out like stripes on a Zebra.
“Remember to Be Happy”
And wow… it stopped me… because I haven’t considered that before.
Hell, that thought never crossed my mind.
Remember to be happy? What the hell does that even mean?
I have an email to send.
I have a dog to walk.
Have you seen the laundry? The laundry has gotten so big that it will grow arms and fold me into a fortune cookie.
Remember to be happy.
I love that recommendation because it forces you to change your perspective.
And when you’re fed up with all that life throws at you, it’s easy to ignore your emotional state.
This simple suggestion completely changed how I view life, and I’m so thankful for it.
And come to think of it… why wouldn’t anyone choose to be happy?
I mean, as great as being completely stressed out all the time is… it’s amazing the changes a conscience decision can bring.
Remember to be happy.
Who knows, you just may smile.
Please, like, comment, and tell me what you think. Do you remember to be happy? If you like this, please share it with a friend.
A simple yet powerful quote I’ll always remember.
So glad you will!
Thanks for the reminder. I think and then will act upon writing, printing and then make it present; a post, “Remember to be Happy”

I remember when, during the pandemic, only six people could meet together in social gatherings. All the dwarves decided to meet up and one of them wasn’t Happy!
hahah was his name grumpy?
Excellent advice! I’m on of those guilty of getting caught up in the day-to-day that it’s easy to forget to think. Glad you spread the advice. Thanks!
So happy you enjoyed! I feel like I constantly have to remind myself to be happy
I find myself smiling each day watching my cat, looking out the window at birds and flowers. Little bits of being happy.
Woo-hoo! I just got a cat and they’re awesome
Not sure if satire or serious, lol. I’m broke as heck, but I’ll make sure to remember to grow rich. I think I’ve said this before but I love your writing voice.
Thanks for the kind words, it made my day! So this is a serious piece, but even when writing something serious I always try to use humor.
I’m always torn to write about personal development or just humor/ satire… so I do both ….

We live in a world in which being negative is seen as being realistic & being positive is delusional – I’m happy to be delusional 🙂
All the best people are my friend!
Love this! It definitely made me smile as well as prompted me to be happy. It’s a reminder that we’re still in control of our emotions. No matter what happens, we control how we respond. Thanks for sharing.
No worries at all! It can be super hard to manage your emotions all the time so I need the reminder myself!
Beautiful ❤️

It’s better to be happy, and pursue it than to grow up to be cynical.
Very true!
Couldn’t agree more! Keep smiling, keep shining!
Happiness is not a destination we arrive at, it’s a manner of traveling. We have an expression here in Texas: Drive friendly.
I love this! Will read more from your blog posts. I am so glad I have found this blog site!
Thanks for the reminder, perfect timing for me 🙂

The joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10)
God is good!
I should remember this, a ask the question too few times.
“You reveal the path of life to me;in your presence is abundant joy;at your right hand are eternal pleasures.”
(Psalm 16:11, CSB)
