Hey Boss, I need Your Help

You’re my boss, and I need you to tell me what you like.

Confession time:

I’m guilty of… craving your thoughts.

Yes, your thoughts.

Even you, sitting there in the back.

In all seriousness, I’m looking to be a bit more intentional with my blog in 2025.

Because ultimately, I’m going to start offering something….

be it coaching,

A product,

Or something new.

So, I’m inviting you to take the front seat to my strategy session so I can be a bit more focused.

A question:

Why do you read my blog?

And what type of content do you like from me / want from me?

Historically, I’ve written funny personal development stories, short stories, and occasional marketing pieces.

(And if I’m being honest, I’ll probably do the same in some capacity… after all… you gotta write what moves you, and what you feel)

But I’m leaning towards creating something my audience wants.

I guess all I’m saying is

I’d like to know why you read my writing and what type of stories/articles you want more of.

So I can eventually build an offer.

So… instead of spinning my wheels, I’d rather just have a conversation with you.

This is your chance to tell me what to do.

Don’t waste it 😉

Please like, comment, share, and tell me what you think. I really appreciate everyone who reads tonysbologna.com, and I really do value your thoughts.  A little bit of self-reflection is a good thing, and I’m inviting you to my process. I can’t wait to hear from you!

  1. I have liked all of the posts I’ve seen of yours so far, but I especially liked the writing tips. Honestly, I like that your blog is a bit of everything, not just writing tips.

  2. I read first, because you liked what I posted. Then the more I read of you; I looked forward to reading your offerings. I like the way you put your thoughts together and bring a smile or chuckle to my lips.

  3. I can similar to those comments above. When you liked my post I checked your blog out. I enjoyed reading the lightheartedness and appreciate the common sense blogging advice! Thank you for reading and liking my posts. It does mean a lot. Keep up the good work. Signed your boss lol 😝

  4. Ah . . . well, now. Let’s see. Lol.

I read you because you’re witty and you’re great at character development. I would love to read more fiction/short stories from you, but the glimpses into your life with a splash of hilarity are great, too.

Yes, those are my two requests. Let’s make it happen, Cap’n. 🤣😂😆

  5. keep writing anything you’re an attention grabber and a gem to find basically anything you wish keep going thanks

  6. I keep reading for a few reasons. Top one is that you share who you are authentically and that I feel you enjoy talking to your readers. I like your voice, and when you tell a fresh story, I’m at the campfire listening.

Second, your wisdom about writing resonates. Your counsel and your example do spur me to write more.

Like you, a lot of things interest me and the whole ‘find your niche’ thing has kept me from a clear concept of what I’m doing. I don’t want to stick with homeschooling or art or commentary. When I read your recent post on the subject, it became crystal clear for me: I want to write about the things that interest me because ‘the world is so full of marvelous things’. Putting myself out there, authentically, could very well help me find enthusiastic readers, as you have done.

Third, your fiction is pretty dang good. I would love to see you put your skill to writing short fiction regularly. Because I’m going to watch what you do and try it myself. *grin*

  7. I like your humorous content, like missing the garbage truck – not just because I can relate, but because I enjoy well-written light-hearted stuff, and you’ve nailed it. Your other work is good too, but this is my favourite. 😊

  8. Variety. Stories, helps, advice, tips, you write them all very well. Getting stuck in just one of those could potentially lead to becoming a little stagnant. Your variety is good, and will keep your writing more fresh. Besides, you’re the one who says to write what you feel, so whatever that day offers, write it!

  9. I read your blog to get out of my own head. Often your take on similar life events spun with humor. It is a place where the world isn’t as heavy. That is what I like about your blog! Plus your writing advice is always great!

  10. Your writing is brilliant. The flow of your funny stories is inspiring, hilarious and so relatable. Keep them coming.

Your writing tips are a goldmine. A lifesaver for every aspiring writer.

In a nutshell: funny stories and practical writing tips.

Keep up the fantastic work, Anthony 👍

  11. Your blog is for YOU. And your approach to sharing everything from writing tips to funny anecdotes about your life is why we follow and read your blog. Everything else you write – content for work or your next book – can be more structured and focused on giving a target audience what they want but the blog can be freestyle.

  12. Hey, I have an actual idea… I love the color yellow and lightbulbs, but… you tend to reuse the same images frequently. If you added more variety to the imagery accompanying your work, it would improve an important aspect of what draws attention- “the eye.”

  13. Hi! I followed your blog at first because you followed mine, but what I enjoy about your posts is the strength and confidence of your ‘voice’. It comes through in your stories but particularly in your advice articles. You can engage a reader very easily, so in a way, keeping your net wide might be your true strength? Just a thought. 🙂

  14. I’ve been in this position (still am really) of uncertainty, while simultaneously having so much I want to share; I really enjoy the authenticity in your posts as well as the simplicity. I would vote for you to continue sharing your writing advice and relatable humor, while weaving in posts of whatever is showing up for you that wants to be shared. Looking forward to seeing what comes up!

  15. Anthony, your blog is awesome. I’m always looking for more full length fiction that people are publishing on WordPress. I think there’s a community here for it, and I want to see more good stuff. From yourself included! I know, I know, you work on something all the live long day and it’s nice to get paid for it. But . . . I think that model might be broken. So I’m trying a different way. It’s liberating. Anyway-enough blather. If you read this and you have a novel you want to share for review or just to have someone read it, I’m here! For you Anthony, I’m ready for Chapter for of Letters from Jasper if you want to share it😎

  16. Honestly, I love your humorous stories–not that I mind your other content. I can use a few laughs as I go along. Too much of life is heavy and serious these days.

  17. You’re a fantastic storyteller with the ability to place the reader in the scene – that’s not easy! I definitely think storytelling is one of your strengths and one of the things I enjoy most about your writing. I also love your humor – it comes across as genuine, not forced, and that kind of natural wit keeps me coming back to this blog repeatedly.
