Judge Books by Their Cover

People often say, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” But….

I’m asking you to judge mine.

I’m very happy to announce my book, Letters From Jasper, will be out before the end of the month.

First and foremost, thank you so much for your support.

Seriously, I couldn’t have done this without you.

I mean it…

So much so that I even gave you all a shout-out in my book.

It’s well deserved.

Secondly, if I ever made you laugh or smile with anything I wrote, if you have the means, I’m asking you to support my book.

Every review helps, every share helps, and anything you can do to get the word out, I will be beyond grateful.

If you’ve been along for the ride, thank you. Also know, I never released all the chapters, all the characters and everything that happened. I also added about 20,000 words since I last posted anything related to my story.

I say this to say – you’ll find something you didn’t notice before.

I’m a firm believer that good writing is entertaining, honest, and stirs emotions, and that’s the promise I make to you if you read my book.

So once again, thank you for your support, and go ahead and judge this book by its cover.

– Tony

P.S. my friend James made the cover! He’s a graphic designer that actually cares about his work. If you need a book cover or anything designed, he’s a great choice, fair priced and exceeds expectations. Hit him up! James Sutton| http://www.Sutstonellc.com

Please like, comment, share and tell me what you think! Do you like the cover?

      1. Oh, I dunno. I finally figured it out today, there’s a block for subscription, but I’ve seen others with buttons, I’m really not sure how it works

  1. I’ve followed along with the stories you posted and I’m excited that they’re all published now. I can’t wait to read it. As for the cover, I think it’s perfect for this story! Gawgeous. Just gawgeous!

    1. So happy you like it! It’s a totally pain in the ass – because people do judge books by their cover. My buddy did most of the heavy lifting and if anyone needs a book cover, I’m positive he’d help anyone out! Appreciate you my friend

      1. I did two of the books covers for my own books and I speak with experience with the creation.. people don’t understand the time , effort and hours and hours of work..

  2. Congratulations Tony. That’s a fine cover. One small thing; if you’re planning on ever using Amazon paid ads, I’d avoid the use of the word ‘cr*p’ on the cover. They don’t have a problem with the vocabulary inside, but they’re very prudish about the outside: I speak from personal experience. Otherwise, excellent cover. 🙂

  3. Congratulations! 🎉
The cover looks fantastic and immediately sparks curiosity. More importantly, your passion, gratitude, and dedication shine through every word of your announcement.

Wishing you great success with Letters From Jasper. May it reach many readers, earn countless reviews, and inspire people just as your writing has already done. Looking forward to seeing your book out in the world!

    Best wishes and congratulations again!

    1. Congratulations! 🎉🍾
Looks amazing! If I saw this on a shelf I’d pick it up!
Wishing you every success with this Tony. Nice one! ☺🙃

  4. Okay, I’m hooked. Family bonding. Gasoline on a bonfire. Cool graphic. Just enough of a promo to pull at the senses but not too much to give away the story! I’m in. Well done. Congratulations on the book. Can’t wait to hear more. Exciting times. Enjoy!

  5. I like the cover. I love the desert sunset contrasting against the fall of night. I think the letters are a wonderful symbol of the book itself, and of course the blaring lights of the police vehicle gives you another contrast against the skyline and the dark.

  6. Congratulations on your book launch! The cover definitely grabs attention and sparks curiosity. Wishing you lots of success with Letters From Jasper—and kudos to James for the fantastic cover design!

  7. HI Anthony! Congrats on your book. I will read it . I like my bologna fried to a crisp, tomato, mayonnaise and mustard, on bread with sweet iced tea with lemon! Lol! Write on! Greetings from Tennessee, USA.

      1. BTW I would stop on the side of the road and pick up those sheets of paper! I love a random mystery and crumb trail. It’s so Hansen and Gretel.

  8. James did a great job! If the cover doesn’t grab the attention of a potential reader, that person will probably not pick up the book, no matter how awesome the content is. So yes, I agree, the cover should be striking. Congratulations!

  9. Nice cover. To me, a bad one says, basically, that the publisher doesn’t give a shit–or has lousy taste. Neither speaks well for the book.

  10. I scrolled past tons of lovely comments just to say, what an amazing cover for such an enticing story! I’m a huge fan of life never turning out quite the way we thought it would.

I often encourage my clients to write their children letters of truth, because a parent’s story becomes part of the child’s story too. Children deserve to know their history, not to carry it as a burden, but to understand it, heal from it, and avoid repeating what was never named.

Letters of truth can be more healing than we realize. In a way, it’s like time traveling, allowing wisdom from one version of us to reach another.

    Congratulations!✨✨

  11. Congratulations on your book; best of luck with the selling. The cover does look amazing, and yes, I do judge books by their covers. Rarely am I disappointed.

  12. From the bottom of this author to you, my friend: Congrats. Maybe you’ll take a gander at my paperbacks on Amazon Books. Author Dee Tezelli. All self-made, self-published and self-experiential, mountain adventures. But the book covers do not tell it all. Dee Tezelli. Cheers.

      1. Thanks friend, no link needed: Amazon Books — Dee Tezelli Author Central — All Books
Most recent title is – ERIC, the INCREDIBLE PODCASTER in REYKJABVIK (same cover contains doubleheader) MAN FROM MT. FUJI. The snippets are enough to get a rating of the plot. CHEERS.

  13. I love that you hired someone to do the cover!
There’s so much push for things to be done by robots, it really devalues people. I also hired someone for the interior files of my children’s book (though I did the cover myself.)
This is my first exposure to your blog/book. What’s it about?

    1. Thank you so much! And yeah we gotta keep the jobs!

So my blog is just about the funny truths and observations of life.

Can be anything – sometimes something a bit more deep like talking about failure.

Other times lighter like funny people you see at a party.

My only goal is to make you laugh and think.

And if you like my writing – I would be honored if you checked out my book – letters from Jasper
